About Us
Who We Are
The Harmony Baptist Association is a fellowship of Southern Baptist churches in west central Missouri working together to strengthen local congregations and support Gospel-centered ministry. We exist to encourage cooperation, develop leaders, and equip churches to serve Christ faithfully in their communities.

Our Core Values
We believe effective ministry flows from shared convictions and strong relationships. Our work is guided by the following values:
- Maintain Church Autonomy – We affirm the historic Baptist principle that each local church governs itself under the lordship of Christ, free from external control. Our association exists to cooperate and support—not to dictate—so that every congregation retains full authority over its doctrine, leadership, and ministry decisions.
- Foster Meaningful Relationships Between Churches – We seek to build strong, lasting relationships among our churches for mutual encouragement and gospel impact. Through intentional communication and collaboration, we aim to share resources, mobilize volunteers, and pursue joint ministry opportunities that advance the mission of Christ.
- Provide Gospel Opportunities – We coordinate ministry efforts that are best accomplished together, creating opportunities for churches to serve and proclaim the gospel. Our ministry teams lead specific initiatives designed to strengthen local outreach while respecting each church’s autonomy.
- Equip Effective Leadership – We are committed to equipping and encouraging those who lead our churches. Through pastoral fellowship, preaching and teaching training, pulpit supply, and support for churches seeking pastors or staff, we strengthen leaders to shepherd well and advance the mission of Christ.
- Assist in Multiplying Healthy Churches – We work together to promote healthy church growth and church planting in our region. By pooling resources and offering guidance, we help churches thrive and partner in starting new congregations for the glory of God.
